The Outfield Fly Ruling

What can you really know about a 23rd round draft pick from high school who batted 185 times in rookie ball? Not much. Expectations aren’t awfully high for 23rd rounders, so it’s hard to project growth beyond that of an organizational depth player, at least until we see some kind of extended performance. Benson does seem to have some power, but given that he’s already playing 1B, he’ll need more than “some” to carry him to the bigs.
